For the second year running, the Centre national de la musique, (CNM) is organising an international songwriting session in France, bringing together songwriters from France, Europe and the rest of the world.
Since 2021, the CNM has organised over 30 international songwriting camps, bringing together over 350 songwriters from France and across the world, and connecting more than 300 French and international publishers, leading to multiple international releases generating tens of millions of streams on international DSPs.
Following the success of the 2023 writing camp at the Artistic Palace in Paris, the CNM is organising a writing camp from Monday 10 June to Friday 14 June, where 6 French and 6 international songwriters will meet at Limusic Studios in Limoux, spending 5 days together to create new songs and collaborations, with the aim of having commercial releases in the following months, and making lasting international collaborations between music professionals and songwriters. The musical genres that the participants will be working around, will be ‘international pop’ in a large sense, with influences from rap and r&b, hyper-pop, electronic, rock and beyond.
On Friday 14 June, a listening session will be organised in the studios, in the presence of a member of each songwriter’s team, to create a network between French and international professionals.

Format
The songwriters will arrive at Limusic Studios on Sunday 9 June for a welcome dinner with all the camp participants. Accommodation will be in individual rooms in the studio grounds.
On Monday 10 June, the 12 songwriters will be divided into 4 groups of 3 songwriters, with the aim of writing a song that day. The following morning, an informal listening session will take place to listen to all the songs from the previous day; new groups will be announced, and this rhythm will continue for the rest of the camp.
On Friday 14 June, the French and international professional teams (publishers or labels or management) will arrive in Limoux and take part in the final listening session at 6pm.
Songwriters are free to leave on Saturday 15 June.
Application requirements
– The CNM will cover the following costs associated with the project: studio hire, transfers from Toulouse or Carcassonne airport or Carcassonne station, accommodation, full board (meals) during the project. International travel to the local transfer points is the responsibility of the participants.
– A key element of the project is the international professional networking event on Friday 14 June; only applicants who can guarantee the presence of a member of their professional team on Friday 14 June will be considered for participation in this camp. Limusic and the CNM will cover one night’s accommodation in Limoux on Friday 14 June for 1 professional from each participant’s team, as well as transfers from Toulouse or Carcassonne airport or Carcassonne railway station.
